The joy of seeing almost 700 invited guests participate in the annual celebration
of the Harvest Mission College Graduation was beyond anything words could express. There was excitement on every face as we celebrated the great achievement of the graduating students. They deserved a big hand of applause and a shout of joy at the time of this major achievement in their calling to preach the gospel to the totally unreached in the Northern part of India.
|
|
After three years of intensive training in the Mission Center, they are ready to set out in to the unknown.
There’s no church waiting for them- they will have to pioneer a church in a remote place where they will stay alone, be hungry, persecuted, and chased out of towns and villages. They think they are mentally prepared and are taught to trust God even when everything is dark and unsettling. Over the years these students had some fantastic missionaries come through the center and share their personal testimonies of victories and defeats, joys and sorrows, and physical violence and showed their scarred bodies. They have seen it all.
|
|
Yet, when you experience some of these things for the first time, it’s hard to suffer pain and bodily attacks, hunger and loneliness, rejection and being threatened with death.
They are totally confused and on many occasions there’s not even a fellow Christian to comfort him or give him a helping hand. I know how hard it is. I myself have been there. The extended periods of loneliness, hunger, persecution, living under the shadow of death and kidnappings force you to think of your commitment to your calling. That too, when some good sized churches invite you from your home states to pastor them- that’s when you think of your future away from this hell. I rejected more invitations than I can remember. Unless your vision is a guiding force and the impact it made on you is permanent you will succumb to many temptations. God helped me on many occasions to stay course and run the race up to this point. Paul said, "I press toward the mark of the high calling in Christ Jesus."
|
|
I received the help of many of my wonderful friends over the years to sharpen my vision and keep me on track.
Like the word says, “iron sharpens iron”; it’s the friendship and fellowship of many seasoned missionary warriors that helped me a lot. But, everyone is not so fortunate. Many of my friends who have started very well in Northern India quit the race on account of many things. They could not suffer any longer. Some of them lost their children to Malaria. Others had to put up with the breathed threats of the kidnapping of their children if they did not leave the mission stations. Others suffered hunger more than they could bear; some little children fainted many times a day for want of physical nourishment.
|
|
Most of them have been beaten up for being Christian missionaries. More than all these and more, I lost more cross-cultural missionaries on account of their children’s education. Northern India is notoriously famous for the lack of educational facilities. They have a heart to give their children a decent education, which is not possible where they are. These missionaries find themselves fighting on all fronts.
|
|
I have a great desire to keep these missionaries in their respective mission fields. But it’s becoming increasingly difficult when the children’s education comes up for discussion. I have a proposal that would meet this need. If any one of you, my friends, would think of this proposal and act, you could help solve this problem immediately. In our new campus we will make a provision for a hostel for the children of our missionaries along with the orphans. We will start a private English medium school and throw the door open to outsider’s kids along with the children of our missionaries and orphan boys and girls. At the expense of the neighborhood kids, our children will study free. To realize this dream, we need buildings and other infrastructural facilities. This will be a one-time cost. My prayer is "May our missionaries find favor in some one’s sight". I ask you to pray about it.
|
|
We need many more prayer halls in the areas where our missionaries have planted churches. We have built several halls that have been sponsored by our friends.
Each one of them was carefully chosen after much prayer, because so many are in demand and we had just a few sponsors. Those prayers halls are the only Christian ones’ in the entire community, and they are used not just for prayer and worship alone- they serve their community as well for various get-togethers where we have the freedom to share the good news with the community. Thank you to every one who sponsored a prayer hall! Your reward is great. If you would like to sponsor a prayer hall, please know that the cost is only $8,500.00.

Our new Missionary graduates need sponsors to get into their mission fields. In most cases he is the only Christian in that entire town where he is trying to evangelize. There’s no local support whatsoever and the only financial support he will receive is from you, the sponsor. It takes at least 3 to 5 years to plant a church and stand on its own feet, but the joy of seeing so many saved and baptized from a totally Hindu background is enormous. All your sacrificial giving is worth every cent. You will have the joy of seeing untold multitude standing before the throne of God. It’s exhilarating spiritually. May our missionaries find favor in your eyes! We have 55 missionaries that need sponsors right now with $100.00 a month.

The joy of seeing Haarson in his mission field was beyond any words could express. For the last 3 years he has been working hard to spread the gospel in this remote area in North India. He was often met with challenges like physical torture, financial struggles, sickness, loneliness, and threats of violence took its toll in his body. But he refused to abandon the mission field where God sent him with a vision. He mentally prepared to lay down his life there. But no breakthroughs were in sight. God is faithful; He will fulfill what He promised. He is an able God. Finally miracles began to flow through his ministry. There’s a massive stronghold of the enemy in India. Devil possession of human bodies is very common in his work field. An influential local man’s
son was possessed.
He was prayed over and completely cured. That was the first breakthrough and many followed. A strong church was founded in no time. Around 200 people attend his fellowship now. He is reaching out to more towns and villages than never before. Thousands have heard the gospel for the first time in their lives. All these and more are possible because you choose to support RoadRunner World Mission. We trained him and sent him to a mission field where God is using him. He was given tools to work with like a sponsor with $100 a month so he could work fulltime. One of you helped him get a motor scooter so he could go to nearby towns and ureached villages to spread the word. It cost just $1,000. What a difference it brought to his life and ministry.

The future Mission Centre for RRW Missions...
God is a miracle working God. (Details in the next issue)
We were able to pay around half of the needed amount and received more favorable terms and conditions for the whole land. It’s a miracle what happened when I went in to make the deal.
We received one more year to pay off the amount.
The balance is $95,000.00. The owner willingly transferred the title deed to us.
He will plant trees all around the property at his own expense.
At the time of construction he will help us with some of the needed materials.
And more-----. All glory to God. Thanks for Praying.
For your convenience you may donate online in a secure format.

that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but
have everlasting life.

No one comes to the Father except through Me.
John 3:3
Most
assuredly, I say to you, unless one
is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
